What people are usually exposed to is the band of the Boys’ Brigade. They see the Boys in their smart blue uniforms, marching and playing on their drums as they come down the street. Some people are even annoyed at the “noise” they are making. Others simply enjoy the carnival atmosphere and walk alongside the marching Boys’ admiring their fancy attire.
WHAT WE DO
Although the band is only an activity, it is important and the “public face” of the Boys’ Brigade. What people see is but one of many activities of the Boys’ Brigade.
The Boys’ Brigade has a well-balanced weekly program and activities offered ranges from spiritual education, community services, physical activities, leisure activities, life skills and personal growth experiences.
Boys can join from the age of 6 years to 18 years.
The Boys’ Brigade offers the youth an alternative to all the vices that plagues our societies and exists to fill a void left by the social decay of our modern lifestyles.
We see the Boys’ Brigade as
A 19th Century Vision, A 21st Century Solution.
